Disco bunny process

HaHa, Le Grand Portefeuille

This is a piece originally intended for SCBWI’s monthly #drawthis prompt, but I got a little behind because I had other work that required my attention. Anyway, I liked the idea, and the drawing made me smile, so I wanted to finish it. This was hand drawn and digitally colored with Illustrator this time.  (So if anyone needs this on the side of a bus, it can be scaled that large, without pixelating the image. I’m just saying.) There are many ways that I enjoy working, both by hand and digitally.

Bird nest hair and a Store Promotion

HaHa, Le Grand Portefeuille, Photoshop

Sometimes I feel I have bird nest hair.  “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush,” they say, but a bunch in your hair may not be beneficial.  Just messy.

I was playing around with Photoshop, seeing if I could recreate my inky/watercolor style digitally.  It’s a starting point, I guess.  Happy Friday!

Dogs in Sweatshirts

Or at least I always thought so as a kid.

Or at least I always thought so as a kid.

My poor dogs I had when I was a kid…all of them had their own sweatshirt.  I thought they needed the extra warmth, because, y’know…fur isn’t enough. To be fair, most of them were smooth coated Fox Terriers, so their hair didn’t look (to me) to have very much in the way of insulation.
